BioProTT™ Clamp-On SL Flow sensor
The BioProTT™ Clamp-On SL ensures reliable measurement and monitoring of flow rates in applications within the laboratory and industrial suite, together with a BioProTT FlowTrack SL or a BioProTT FlowMCP. With its click-fastening, the sensor can be quickly and easily attached to flexible tubes, while the functional design and non-invasive measurement method prevent any additional shear stress for the medium — an essential advantage over invasive methods when it comes to handling shear-sensitive organisms or biomolecules.
The applied ultrasonic transit-time method, combined with a customer-specific calibration regarding the respective process parameters, allows for highly accurate measurement and enables flexible solutions for your application. Applications include flow measurement on flexible tubes in upstream and downstream processes such as Chromatographies, Control of the upstream feed, Filtration, Fillings, and Fill-and-finish processes.
Fluid flows into the sensor consisting of two flow sensitive elements which are vibrated rela ve to one another –similar to the nes of a tuning fork. Fluid interacts with the sensor dynamically in such a way that the sensor’s response is immune to the fluid’s chemical and physical proper es, flow regime, or variations in flow velocity profile. Fluid mass flow rate is determined by measuring the relative mo on of the vibra ng flow sensitive elements.
- Recommended tube type flexible, non-reinforced tubing, e.g. silicone, PVC.
- Medium type liquids including buffer solutions, cell culture media, fermenta on media, hydrocar-bons, nutri on media, salines solutions, water, blood, blood subs tutes.
